About the course

The Digital Humanities and Persianate Studies Bootcamp builds on the instructor’s previous lecture: “Persianate Studies: Research Institutions, Reference Works, and Digital Sources.” The bootcamp offers a comprehensive, hands-on exploration of these themes in greater depth. Designed for students and researchers interested in digitalizing the study of Persianate history, literature, and culture; the course introduces key reference works, institutional resources, and online databases while also training participants in essential digital tools and research strategies. Through practical exercises and guided projects, learners will gain the skills needed to navigate, analyze, and curate Persianate sources in the digital realm. By the end of the bootcamp, participants will not only be familiar with the core infrastructures of Persianate Studies but also be equipped to integrate digital humanities approaches into their own research.
