About the course:

The Advanced Persian through Persian Codicology Texts course is tailored for learners with strong proficiency in Persian who wish to deepen both their language skills and their understanding of manuscript culture. Students will read and analyze original Persian texts in their original forms. Emphasis will be placed on mastering reading and understanding first-hand materials remaining in the form of manuscripts. Alongside close reading and translation, the course will introduce the historical context of Persian manuscript production, book arts, and textual transmission. By the end of the course, participants will not only enhance their ability to read complex academic Persian but also gain valuable insight into the intellectual and material heritage of Persian book culture.

Format: 24 online sessions

 

Tuition: $600 (payable in 3 installments)
