Persian for Heritage Speakers

Instructor: MH Naraghi

Content of the course:

The Persian for Heritage Speakers course is specially designed for learners who have been exposed to Persian at home or in their community but may not have received formal instruction in reading or grammar. The course builds on students’ existing listening and speaking skills while strengthening literacy, vocabulary, and cultural knowledge. Through authentic materials such as short stories, poems, songs, and contemporary media, participants will refine their ability to read and write in Persian, expand their understanding of formal and colloquial registers, and develop greater confidence in academic and professional contexts. By the end of the course, students will be able to engage more fully with Persian language and culture, bridging the gap between everyday communication and formal expression.
